Alpha Clinic

The foundation of Alpha Clinic & Aesthetics was established in 2011 as a yoga brand and was re-branded to Balance Clinic in 2017 when our founder (Susan Yu) qualified as an osteopath. From there the clinic expanded its services, adding treatments such as acupuncture, and herbal medicine. London’s first lockdown in 2020 forced the (physical) clinic to close, but Susan decided to take this time to figure out her next move for her clinic and career.

This led to her enrolling at London Business School, to embark on her Executive MBA. In March 2021, Alpha Clinic & Aesthetics was born, providing healthcare & aesthetics for highly successful people. Generating press in Marie Claire & Men’s Health magazine. Susan graduated in July 2022 as a London Business School Executive MBA scholar.

Founder

Susan Yu is a qualified pharmaceutical scientist, has a BSc in osteopathic medicine, and is an Executive MBA London Business School scholar. Furthermore, she’s a Board Trustee for a not-for-profit, and Board Advisor (ex-president) of the LBS Board Fellows Programme fostering new leaders of the future.

Through her own health journey that started in 2010 due to burn-out. Susan decided to search for a health clinic that focused on combating and preventing damage caused by stress. In addition to fostering self-care routines for the body, both inside and out, in hopes to become sustainably successful so burn-out would never happen again. But she couldn’t find a clinic that connected the dots between aesthetics and physical & mental health. So she created one.

It took Susan an 11-year healing journey, and embarking on an Executive MBA during the pandemic, for Alpha Clinic & Aesthetics to come to fruition.

Follow her blog, giving expert advice on sustainable success, and how to achieve it. Where she shares her experience of being an investor & social entrepreneur, continuously working on her ventures. Alongside being an advocate of diversity, equality, and sustainable success.
